Brittany, your chart looks very well organized. A successful online course would need all of the various components. At what age/grade level do you believe students could first successfully complete such a course? More and more high schools are adding a component that requires all students to complete an online course as a requirement for graduation. I know my middle schoolers couldn't handle it, and wonder about the high schoolers. Perhaps a combination of face to face and online? I can pick and choose activities to introduce my students, so they will have some background, and that would be strengthened in high school. I don't think most high highschoolers would have the self discipline to do a course such as one of ours. What do you think?
I have seen a few middle schoolers that could handle an online course, but not very many. There are some really motivated students that are very capable and should not be counted short.
